I use a lot of Google Chrome URL box search. I find it very convenient and now hate Firefox and Safari for using a different search box.
I still use Firefox for development though. But Chrome on almost everything else.
- Dobbs 17y agoWith firefox you can set "search keywords" so I have Google set as "g". Now when I type g <search term> into my address box it will search Google. I have others for amazon, Wikipedia and the rest. Not quite the same thing as crome's but just as useful.
- vimalg2 17y agoI do the same thing on FF. But in my case , its more of a habit that got carried over from being a seasoned Opera User from ye olde days of Dial-up internet
- chrisbolt 17y agoKeywurl (http://alexstaubo.github.com/keywurl/ http://alexstaubo.github.com/keywurl/) lets you change Safari's URL box to work more like a search box, but unfortunately has yet to be updated to work with Snow Leopard.
