i took the exit pictured here out of curiosity once.. drove 10 miles into the desert to the remains of the retreat. walked inside a small library or welcome center and found a warm cup of coffee but no person to accompany it. then, walking around the grounds outside in the sun (it was summer), i started to have a panic attack. i climbed in my car to leave but my car wouldn't start. -eventually it did. strange place
