- TulliusCicero 11y agoThis makes sense technically, but not psychologically, if you're talking about a bike lane that's very close to the tracks. The trains are very large and very loud with their horns. It's already intimidating when I'm biking on Evelyn, pretty close to the tracks. Intellectually, I realize the chance of the train derailing is pretty much zero, but it doesn't feel that way. Adding such a bike lane would be better than what we have now, but I think a lot of the 'interested but concerned' group would be unwilling to be very close to the train.
- calbear81 11y agoHow about an elevated bike lane that sits above the train tracks like 20 ft. above but with the train running below it?
