This is one of these articles that has changed my thoughts on recruitment and makes sense when hiring mid/senior talent. Not sure the approach works if you are recruiting junior/graduates but even then I see this as just a case of extending the development time at a lower rate with lower expectations (which hopefully will be proved wrong). Front loading the cost of recruitment brings major cost savings in the long run.
