All that data may be profitable in the future in some weird way we cannot even imagine at the moment. They have the resources to store and use it. Maybe even abuse it if they can find out some happy legal way to do so. The grey zone between privacy and public keeps morphing. Problem is what kind of data/information should be public and what should not be public. And in what form? In what timeframe? Some information could be very benificial for one (company, person, government, institution, etc.) , but have horrible consequences for others.
