- dogecoinbase 11y agoI know it's problematic for a number of reasons, but I'd sort of love to see YC throw their weight behind this -- e.g. "if you've worked at Smule beyond 23 Sept 2015, you are ineligible for consideration in any future YC rounds". It always baffles me how much power goes unused in Silicon Valley, but I suppose most of that restraint is due to personal relationships between the VCs/founders.
- hga 11y agoTwo reasons that's a bad idea: A lot more time is needed, e.g. "If there is no decline in the SV job market, if you're still employed by Jan 1 2016/April 1 2016...." If they did that, it would suck a lot of oxygen out of Shred's attempt to win this battle in the court of public opinion. All that said, I would expect YC to be putting out the word this is a very bad idea.
