As far as I can remember, the industry's response to the iPhone was very favorable. They had basically sold thousands of units before they even announced the product. People were asking for the iPhone long before it was confirmed. The only ones in denial were competitors. Users and bloggers loved it since day one, and by day one I mean the day Apple announced it, not the day Apple released it.
