I tried this on my phone last week when I read the article. One I can't cut/paste on my Note 4 Lollipop (At the emergency password screen). Two if you even try to cut/paste or take longer than a second to the phone locks and you have to start over on the password. Maybe it's because I use the finger print reader and password is for emergency. On my phone this hack seems virtually impossible after 10 minutes of trying really hard to get it to work.
