With std::unique_ptr (you can set the deleter) and ScopeGuard you don't need to create new types for every type of resource. I respectfully disagree with leaks

With std::unique_ptr (you can set the deleter) and ScopeGuard you don't need to create new types for every type of resource. I respectfully disagree with leaks not being a problem.
