Well hey! You helped me resolve a 6 year riddle: I noticed you had only one monitor on your machine, and it turns out as soon as i set my machine to display on only one monitor the game worked smoothly! Would give you more upvotes if i could, but you already have all of mine. ;)

  That's great information, I'd recommend you sure on the GOG forum for that game and email back GOG support so they can add it to their knowledgebase.
