100% agree. Unfortunately there's no way to detect the keyboard layout with JS, so we had to ask the user to choose their keyboard.

- pilif 11y agoYeah. I know. You could try heuristics and trick the user into pressing y or z early. Then you'll know what they probably have. But yeah - just asking is better and I'm really happy that you did
- heinrich5991 11y agoThere's this keyboard selection thing in the Ubuntu installation that asks you to type in a few keys, like "Type any of AZ123...". Perhaps this could be useful here?
