- steve19 11y agoNot worth the negative press when they accidently censor reviews on an app which should not be censored. Also, why should they care? Apple should be happy Google even allows them in the Play Store.
- seiji 11y agoNot worth the negative press when they accidently censor reviews It's a frigging app store. Negative reviews should probably be deleted automatically with a random probability anyway.
- nichochar 11y agoImo this is censorship and unwanted control
- seiji 11y agoTelling crazy people to go away isn't censorship though.
- dfc 11y agoThis would be community moderation. I think you lose the right to whine about "unwanted control" when you accepted the terms and conditions in order to make use of a commercial enterprise's for profit software store, private ecosystem or walled garden.
- iamshs 11y agoThis review hits all the right keywords:- http://static1.squarespace.com/static/55781673e4b058c6d6a34d67/t/55fa1a91e4b05761ee136a5c/1442454163946/?format=750w http://static1.squarespace.com/static/55781673e4b058c6d6a34d... None of the reviews is a critique of the app in itself, except some material design ones, but just the fact that the app is from Apple to lure away Android users. This also highlights the common problem with app store reviews, they are not able to paint a picture of the app for me. If I have to purchase something, I look at Amazon reviews and they provide me a decent picture of the product. But app store reviews are a cesspool.
- Steko 11y agoThey have the same policy everyone does: don't take them too seriously. As a mostly happy iphone user I can say there's some decent trolling in here, have a laugh and enjoy, I think the sky will still be there tomorrow!
- fenomas 11y agoWhy would they? App reviews are just user comments, they're not curated content - and trying to force the one to be the other would inevitably go down a weird rabbit hole. "I'm not allowed to tell you that I find this 'cheat on your spouse' app objectionable, but I can say that the screen transitions are crisp, and the text, while deplorable, was clearly legible on both my devices."
