Lead here: My own experience with various companies has been that they expect 100% with the additional management work on top (like a cherry). You end up delegating a lot of things and get tired quickly. I'm currently working on re adjusting this issue and it's going much better. Still is a lot of work with little benefit. Except for the ability to help others grow into better devs. I love that part.
