This is pretty well done. I've always been a bit lost on the differences between imperative and declarative programming. Each time I've asked, I've gotten incredulous "You mean you don't KNOW?" And then they start off with technobabble buzzwords that are meaningless to me. I appreciate this post, because it works from first principles (close enough) and moves toward more abstract concepts. Good storytelling guide here.
