I wrote a far more basic zsh config script that integrates with OSX's Terminal.app window restoration to restore the current working directory in each tab after quit / relaunch. I don't have a .zsh.d folder but a .oh-my-zsh folder Where do I put your script?

  You should be able to drop it in ~/.oh-my-zsh/custom and have it run automatically upon terminal login.
