It's already been incorporated into systemd. Along with code to fetch today's xkcd cartoon at startup and a system registry that uses Pig Latin as the storage format.
- ossreality 11y agoreading this shit is like reading the idiots on reddit who post "TRIGGERED" at anyone who disagrees with them over the smallest thing. By making this joke everytime, you really turn off everyone from hearing any valid systemd criticisms, because we instead think of the 90% of the time where someone criticizes systemd without offering a single iota of substance. Hence why most of the time when someone starts crapping on systemd, I expect another uninformed FUD-filled rant. I'm right more than 90% of the time...
- fapjacks 11y agoI meant to upvote you, but in my haste, accidentally downvoted.
- technofiend 11y agoThat's a terrible lie that besmirches the reputation of systemd. Everyone knows systemd and etcd store in Esperanto! Geez man, get it straight.
- deelowe 11y agoActually, the Pig Latin feature was deprecated recently when they combined it with the boot loader for reasons only the development team understands. It didn't help that all of their email correspondence was in pig latin.
- eternalban 11y ago@dang: please do not permit hn to become yet another venue for ragging on systemd.
