And after market bands so far are crap - my wife bought a black milanese band from Amazon - $20 - clasp opened while walking down the strip in LV and almost lost the watch / shattered on the concrete sidewalk - the quality is still there - it didn't die with Steve Jobs - it's still a 1st generation product - time is needed to iterate / improve.
