I think that the sad thing is that many of todays "future classics" wont be on the road in 40-50 years as the computers/sensors/gadgetry will be unavailable and

I think that the sad thing is that many of todays "future classics" wont be on the road in 40-50 years as the computers/sensors/gadgetry will be unavailable and just wont last. Meanwhile cars built before ~1975 will still be plugging along in all of their analog/mechanical goodness.
