Could someone please explain to me why he's still trolling the front page?

There's something screwy about such content-free rants ending up on the HN front page for days in a row. My guess is that most HN regulars (and admins) are away for Xmas and New Year which allows a small voting ring (say 6 or so separate accounts) to vote up this drivel. The simple solution (for now) might be to just flag this into oblivion. EDIT: or just a slow day for news as pg mentions above. I wonder if the "promotion" algorithm should take into account slow days? I would rather see an unchanging front page full of good links on a slow news day (than stuff like these screwy "loper OS" posts).
