That's the first thing that struck me too. Total abdication of personal responsibility, and her self-important, solipsistic attitude is found all throughout her writing.
- jjtheblunt 11y agoEndemic in humans in the United States at least, some of my fellow Americans would remark.
- danharaj 11y agoSelf-important... as if the writing's subject were... herself!? "Personal responsibility" is just an excuse for you to refuse to feel empathy for a person making herself vulnerable in a personal account. Your mean-spirited contempt is not as sophisticated as you think it is.
