The author doesn't seem familiar with quantum measurement. Yes of course the measurement apparatus disturbs the state... There's plenty of theory for this and how it works into computation.
- michaelsbradley 11y agoI would say he's more than familiar: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%22Wu%2C+Cheng+Hsiao%22&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C26 https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%22Wu%2C+Cheng+Hsiao%22... However, his concerns about "disturbing the state" do deserve further attention and elaboration.
- gaze 11y agoHuh? What there suggests he's familiar with the theory of quantum measurement?
- michaelsbradley 11y agoYou're right, whoops. I thought that was the search which included this paper near the top of the list, but I failed to double-check: Quantum network theory of computing with respect to entangled flux qubits and external perturbation http://scitation.aip.org/content/aip/journal/jap/113/15/10.1063/1.4801807 http://scitation.aip.org/content/aip/journal/jap/113/15/10.1...
