Most positions aren't advertised. Full time or otherwise. If you want to find a specific job you might have better results networking (asking old contacts, going to meetups/conferences, etc).
- byoung2 11y agoMost positions aren't advertised. Full time or otherwise. That's a good point. The people I know who work remote started onsite and proved themselves first. Then, when they wanted to relocate, they worked out remote working arrangements instead of leaving the company. One of my former coworkers left LA (and expensive rent for a tiny studio near the beach) to move to Colorado (she bought a house with several acres) and she worked out a remote arrangement with the company.
