That's a nice thought, but this country's economic system is the market. The market price of various kinds of work is absolutely dependent on geography. I don't think you want this, either. The gravy train in Silicon Valley would halt instantly if the jobs were all remote and engineers in low-cost-of-living countries had an equal shot at them.
