Just be what you are and don't be afraid to lag behind in many different aspects of smartness. I usually don't say things that people find extremely intriguing, I also am a slow responder in arguments. I have to think. But when I think for some time, I sometimes get such good results that the other smart-thinker/showers are simply outdone. I say sometimes because you can't and don't have to always show your brightness.
