I founded a startup with my wife 4 years ago. We're now at Series B from top tier investors (Sequoia, Lightspeed) and it has never been an issue for us. I think the fact that we complemented each other so well was actually a plus. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. We actually worried about it quite a bit so I understand got concerns.
