Isn't that just "Be user centric first, be profit centric later"? I often see companies that once felt "nice" become "un-nice" later on. For example, I recently tried to use AirBnB again after some years of absence. It was horrible. In the old days, it felt like a well spirited user centric place. Now they act like a power-drunk, arrogant and dismissive bully.
