I agree that any time based billing has that incentive conflict, but how does it fundamentally change when increasing the minimal unit? In the end you have to balance your efficiency and quality with your rate.
For me there are many aspects of a project/client I try to select for before the billing increment. I would not turn down a cool project that sounds great just because they do not agree to daily billing.
- tptacek 11y agoI don't know if I would or I wouldn't because I have never had the experience of needing to back down on daily billing.
- jschwartzi 11y agoYeah, of the clients I've had, none of them have cared one whit about how they were billed, only that they were billed a predictable amount.
