It's because every argument I've seen against systemd is by people who think systemd betrays the Unix philosophy and think we should go back to sysvinit (see rconti above). Upstart had a lot of problems, and the only good technical arguments I've seen in its favor are better compatibility with other kernels. Please point me to a good "Upstart is better than systemd" technical article.

Hating systemd doesn't automatically make you a sysvinit fan. >Upstart had a lot of problems The fact that you didn't mention one of them demonstrates just how much you know about this (nothing).
