When I was on Windows I ran AVG (Free version), with no complaints. I don't run anything on OSX. This might be naive of me, but I've never had a virus problem on a Mac (knock on wood).
- schoen 11y agoA disturbing trend is that more malware over time attempts to hide its presence in order to facilitate surveillance, extortion, or attacks against others (leapfrogging, spearphishing, spam, botnets). Malware used to like to draw attention to itself because it was a prank or showing off or because it was adware that profited by showing pop-up ads. But today a lot of malware victims don't know it, and again I think there's a trend that more and more malware tries to hide its presence from the infected computer's owner, permanently or for some period of time.
