My words don't matter due to pseudonymity?
if you want to know why I'm pseudonymous, please refer to the "chilling effect" comments in grandparent.
When you say you don't trust someone, is that an accusation? Otherwise, the only perceived accusation (he was a "nothing to see here" guy during the snowden leaks) is easily corroborated by his posting history. Go back to the first leaks, match up dates, and see what I'm talking about.

- anonbanker 11y agoThere is evidence. I told you how to find it. you can slander me all you want, but it doesn't make my words less relevant. Edit:tried to create another account with my full name, but replying is prevented. At least dang knows who I am now. I trust that guy.

- ropman76 11y agoYou have not given us one shred of evidence to back up your claims. Just because you include the words "Snowden","NSA backdoor", and "Dual EC" in a paragraph doesn't make any of your conclusions magically true. You have no papers,public comments, or code contributions to prove your point. Just a lot of assumptions.

- dang 11y agoThere's a delay on reply links appearing in deeply nested threads, but they should be there by now. Obviously it's up to you whether to say your name or not. I do need to ask you, though, not to post comments impugning other users. In the rare case where there's real evidence about something relevant, such a post might be admissible, maybe. But the bar for that is high, and your comments in this thread don't come close. The general churn of this forum needs to be kept free of accusations and insinuations against other users, or we'll lose what tenuous grip on civility we have. So please don't do that.
- anonbanker 11y agoTo be honest, it was not really meant to impugn. My not trusting the guy, and the resulting downvotes, are enough evidence that HN at large disagrees with my opinion. As such, I will work to make it less inciteful and respectful in the future. I got the info I needed about Ptacek.
