I make sure that I have a high-level development course plotted out so I have a sense of progress from a bird's eye view, but I also keep a very granular todo list for my day-to-day things so that way I never fall into the "what do I do next" + feeling overwhelmed mindset. Also, try to stay off distracting websites like HN, Reddit, 4chan, etc. On that note, gotta go!
