All of the damage has been by people making the same mistake as the person I replied to of misrepresenting the underlying causes/symptoms. Repeating the reasons people use to justify things like: "If we just lowered taxes" "If we just cut the deficit" Isn't helping. Especially when they aren't the underlying cause.
