For my very first role, the client didn't pay. They paid me the full rate - but then told me that was an error on their part. So now I owe them $1500. If I do ever get a new gig, they will likely take that off the top before I see it. I'm interviewing elsewhere, locally, for my regular daily-rate/salary.
