There's a lot that is legal that is morally reprehensible. Like bringing the world to the brink of financial collapse and then having governments bail out the institutions responsible while absolutely no one went to jail for the crime. Sure Twitter is allowed to do this. It has nothing to do with whether the attempt to alter (or delete) history is morally reprehensible or not.
