Feature request: submit and vote on alternate URLs

Every so often, a user submits a great link, but for which there is a better URL. For example: the 3rd page of a multi-page article, a blog post with a reference to the original, and so on. It would be nice if users could submit a URL as an alternative to that imperfect submission and vote on which is the best alternative, so that this will be the one shown initially to new users.
