I enjoyed the book: nice pacing, easy to read on a couple of flights and some snappy dialogue. I'm not convinced as to how well Watney's diary-style entries to the computer will fare when spoken aloud by Matt Damon (or anyone, for that matter). Even in the trailer they felt a little too contrived.
