The UK is also one of the most heavily taxed countries in the world. The government are happy to gouge you and it is getting worse almost by the month at present.
- valdiorn 11y agoHaving moved from Scandinavia to the UK, I can tell you, ther tax rate there is quite comfortable :) Enjoying my six figure salary and a rougly 34% tax rate (incl. National insurance). ... I am more used to 42-45%.
- easytiger 11y agoNo wonder people don't want to work. The UK has pretty punitive taxes everywhere though. 20% VAT on everything you buy being one of them. Property and affiliated taxes are ridiculous too.
