The interview in the article advises "Bet on yourself instead of saving in retirement accounts", I wonder how that would change if she hadn't had a 7-figure exit? OTOH maybe you just need to be so self-assured to the point of being delusional to succeed at this game. ;) But tautologically, not everyone can be "above average".
