Yeah it is very telling. Its pretty clear they have a very strong "You must toe the party line in public" policy and that is never a good sign.

- ajross 11y agoTrue enough, though that's hardly unique to Amazon either. Apple is likewise famous for that. Really, I'm seeing a bunch of grousing here on HN that doesn't seem to support the NYT allegations at all, which are much more serious.
- fweespeech 11y agoYes but I've never worked for such a company and it seems to be mostly "big names" that, frankly, I wouldn't want to work for anyway. So to me its still "odd".
