It's still an awesome resource to have but it's important to look for the details of the license.
BTW, here's another great resource provided by YouTube https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music
Many of the resources there are free to use without any strings (for any project, not just YouTube) others are ad supported. Where's the license? Good question. I've never been able to find it. Closest I came was their blog post announcing the original 150 tracks. http://youtubecreator.blogspot.com/2013/09/free-music-for-your-youtube-videos.html http://youtubecreator.blogspot.com/2013/09/free-music-for-yo...

- jsingleton 11y agoStrange that the YouTube link require a login. Using the officially approved library seems like a good tactic to not get flagged up by content detection. I've heard stories of big copyright holders claiming to own free music and videos getting removed or banned from embedding. Edit: Here's the playlist that doesn't require login: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxAg2ycAuPA&list=PL93uzrz9f1_QbpfN8WUiaefvDSQPbCpoB https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxAg2ycAuPA&list=PL93uzrz9f1... - gtufano 11y agoVery true. The Free Music Archive ( http://freemusicarchive.org http://freemusicarchive.org ) has an extensive library of CC-licensed songs with the license properly highlighted song per song. edit: typo.
