I work on Portal. That example uses a minor version update ("1.3.1"). This is a major version update. In 6 months we went from a prototype 0.01 to a version 1.0. It's also the first open public beta. The entire web site, demo, and product are different. It would be permitted at the Homebrew Computer Club... But HN has owners and it's up to them how the site works, I get that, it's just disappointing. Oh well.
