Could you elaborate a bit about how you find TAP better than xUnit? I did some Perl testing years ago and mostly xUnit-style testing since then and it didn't strike me that xUnit was much worse than TAP. Genuine question since I'm very interested in the topic of testing.
- peteretep 11y agoxUnit is a testing framework, TAP is a tool to allow different testing modules to interact with each other, and their output collated. The most commonly used Perl xUnit implementation uses TAP.
- agumonkey 11y agoI didn't want to imply better, just avoiding the monoculture that I was given while learning programming.
