I've heard a similar idea expressed using more colorful language:
"Often you hear people say they have a 'bucket list'. Well I also have a 'fuck it' list. The older I get, the longer it grows."
- redcalx 11y agoI think that's likely a 'healthier' approach - i.e. to be at ease with where you are in life an not feel like there's a set of things you need to do to make life worthwhile. There's a similarity there with the Buddhist approach to desire or 'thirst' for experiences - i.e. to some extent they can't satiated because satiating one gives rise to another, that seems to be how the human brain is wired. It's the same with wealth, i.e. no matter how much people have they generally want more.
