Learn enough to be well rounded, and to not seem naive. I've met front end coders who can't perform "git clone's" without a GUI. I've met very experienced programmers who can't setup a basic ssh tunnel. I lose respect for anyone who says "this is my domain, and I don't leave it" - not matter what domain that is. Learn basic devops, and agile, and front end, and back end, and data analysis, etc. It's all fun.
