I know quite a few of them: barely making $15,000 per year, high school educated, somewhat smart, living in rust-belt cities, having seen their wages decrease for decades, haunted by up-coming middle age, daunted by the prices of higher education. And, they'd like nothing better than seeing other poor people get less.
