The entire reason we have modern computers and technology is basically because of the push for bigger drives and better graphics, driven by hardcore gaming. Without that market driver--your looked-down-upon "youngish white male gamer nerds"--you wouldn't have tech worth worrying about. Besides, Ars Technica exists pretty much to pander to same.
