I've been doing this for years with CodeMirror, but it has been A) a lot of bureaucracy to start and renew such contracts, and B) still not really a big enough source of income to cover the maintenance work.
- bryanlarsen 11y agoSure, but you've only been selling them to people who actually need the support. The key is to also sell them to companies who don't need the support. In other words, include your imprecations against free-loaders. And substantially raise your rates.
