While owning real estate would be nice, I'm not too interested in becoming a landlord. I see the wisdom in your advice (this country was founded and continues to thrive on strong property rights) I just don't think the tradeoff of my time and energy managing a household would justify whatever rent I could pull in from a 2-3 bedroom in Somerville MA, Silverlake CA, Austin TX, Oakland CA, or Queens NY.
